The application provides near-real-time updates, refreshing every 30 seconds when new images become available.
Additionally, the app features noteworthy time-lapse videos documenting the Mercury Transit that took place on May 9th, alongside the Venus transit of 2006, showcasing significant astronomical events.
This initiative is part of the CESAR programme (Cooperation through Education in Science and Astronomy Research), a collaborative educational and scientific effort established by the European Space Agency (ESA), the Spanish National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA), and ISDEFE. It aims to bridge the gap between astronomical research and educational outreach.
